For this exhibition Svetlana Prokhorova presents works in different mediums that she has recently created during her metaphysical research.
She explores how physical objects reflect the energy of another realm and how visual codes tell stories about people's life. These narratives joint together past and present, life and death, physical and spiritual.
Svetlana is a Sydney based multidisciplinary artist. She has completed Bachelor of Fine Art at the National Art School (majoring in Printmaking), and now continuing her studio-based research on Master of Fine Art program. She is a finalist of several national art prises in printmaking and exhibiting around Australia.
With her current installation 'The Echoes of the Fairytale' Olga Antropova tries to answer the question 'What's left of a story after It's been told?' combining techniques and visual languages from both traditional and digital worlds. It is also a small tribute to the great artist Jean Cocteau whose ability to decipher the visual archetype of fairytale is truly amazing.
Olga is a multimedia, installation and visual artist based in Sydney. She graduated as an architect and worked in the urban planning department on preservation and restoration of architectural heritage. She also has significant experience as an illustrator, graphic and digital designer and 3D modeller.
