With great joy, this annual event returns to Newtown - inviting ceramicists to enter up to 3 handmade teapots in competition with various categories.
Categories: the Nonsense Poems of Lewis Carroll and Edward Lear / a Top of the Pops! teapot depicting a favourite singer, group or song/ the Australian Archaeology Teapot/ a Most Practical Teapot that pours to perfection.
Awards are sponsored and prizes are given for each category as well as the Supreme Teapot prize and the People's Choice. Potters from around Australia look forward to this annual challenge as do teapot connoisseurs and collectors.
This competition is a showcase of the wonderful imagination and skills of Australian potters and an example of the excellence that can be achieved while still caring for the planet.
This event is part of the Sydney Craft Week Festival 7-16 October 2022.
