From the moment he looked through the lens, John Williams (1933-2016) made an indelible mark on Australian photography.
Best known for his documentary street photography, John's critical ability was perhaps most fully realised in his preoccupation with WWI. Inspired by his veteran father's war service, John's war-related imagery provides perceptive reflections on collective memory and memorialisation.
This exhibition of Williams' photography includes many images that have never been exhibited before.
