In this workshop, Charlene (Charlie) Aguiar Dos Santos will share traditional weaving techniques to make a basket. You'll use some natural materials such as Lomandra which is locally sourced.
The workshop will be held over 2 days on consecutive weekends (4 and 11 September, 9am-12pm). You'll need to attend both days. All materials will be provided and you'll go home with your basket after the second session.
Charlie is passionate about connecting past to present and making learning about Australia's First Peoples fun and entertaining. Charlie currently facilitates Indigenous art workshops with Koori Kinnections.
