With a name like Tropical Fuck Storm, you know this band is not one to tiptoe through the tulips.
An unholy union power combo of Gareth Liddiard and Fiona Kitschin from The Drones with fellow alt-rock lifers Lauren Hammel and Erica Dunn, Tropical Fuck Storm makes music for the end of days.
The band first scorched the earth with its 2018 debut album, A Laughing Death In Meatspace, which combined scuzzy synths and distorted guitars with a jet-black streak of humour.
Tropical Fuck Storms's next two outings, 2019's unhinged Braindrops and 2021's pandemic-skewering Deep States, gleefully twisted the knife. It also goes without saying that a band comprising members of The Drones, High Tension and Mod Con is seriously exhilarating live. Come on out if you need some catharsis.
