'Making peace with nature is the defining task of the 21st century.' - UN Secretary-General António Guterres
The United Nations Day Gala Dinner celebrates the formation, goals and contribution of the United Nations. It is the flagship annual social event of the UNAA (NSW) community, our donors and partners. As well as an important fundraising and giving opportunity, it is the occasion when the prestigious UN Day Honour is awarded to an individual or organisation who embodies UN values and priorities.
After 2 years of disruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are delighted to invite you to join us again to celebrate UN Day. This year's UN Day Gala Dinner marks the launch of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration and the International Year of Basic Science for Sustainable Development, through the twin themes of STEM engagement and Ecosystem Restoration.
Previous UN Day Gala Dinners have featured distinguished guests including our Patron Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, the Hon Michael Kirby AC CMG, CEO of Reconciliation Australia, Karen Mundine, Government Ministers, along with eminent business and community leaders. We hope you will join us for a night of celebration, entertainment and positive impact.
Dress Code: Business attire with a touch of green
Enquiries: Timothy Wong, Executive Manager, UNAA (NSW) at timothy.wong@unaa.org.au
