Waiting evokes desire and impatience, anxiety and expectation. Waiting brings new understanding. It stirs strategy and builds momentum for change. Waiting is the precursor to activism.

The drawings, prints and paintings by Fran Munro, Sue Young, Penny Ryan, Janet Kossy, Rosemary King and Sarah Gibson take us into the world of waiting: for someone's return, for the tide to turn, anticipation suspended in shadow and light, hunger and impatience waiting for change, waiting for justice and peace, for First Nations' history to be acknowledged and for the world to wake up to the climate emergency.

We draw and paint, we print and protest.

This group of women have been exhibiting together since 2017. Their exhibitions are known for their innovation, humour and feminist perspective.
