Women Who Rendered Blind' a solo exhibition by Sepideh Farzam
Two years ago, Iranian women protested restrictive laws, focusing on eliminating barriers to gender equality, notably against mandatory veiling. Security forces' violent responses, including blinding protestors, sparked outrage. Inspired by these events, Sepideh Farzam creates textile installations to honour women's resilience and advocate for change, symbolising their struggles globally.
'Women Who Rendered Blind' will open alongside our other exhibitions: 'On Show - Sustainability' by Canberra Art Workshop and 'Life in the System' by Melanie Olde.
