In an aesthetic ode to the beauty of the Australian landscape- the Strand Arcade is adorned in a specially commissioned installation of Christmas decorations inspired by native flowers.The beautiful- oversized- blossoming eucalyptus branches float from the ornate ceiling. Each branch stands at an impressive 3.5 metres tall- 9.8 metres long and vertically spans multiple levels of the arcade.The hanging installations feature a combined count of 10 acrylic green leaves- 6 red budding flowers and whimsical golden gumnuts that are brought to life with cascading lights.The installation will be illuminated throughout the holiday season with the help of more than 3-500 individual twinkling Christmas lights that cover each of the ornaments from tip to toe.These speculator sculptures celebrate the Strand Arcade's steep Australian history- through utilising inspiration from native flora and fauna artfully blended with beautiful modernity.Join us now and see them in person at the Strand Arcade.

A fun and fabulous way to learn this beautiful art form!For beginners who have a minimum of 2+ years Flamenco.This class allows us to focus on drills and choreography at faster pace than the introductory level. We work on alignment and safe dance practice- musicality and rhythm based techniques and a contemporary approach and understanding of flamenco art.About Annalouise PaulAnnalouise Paul is a trained dance teacher and award-winning choreographer-dancer with broad experience working for Michael Jackson and LA Opera to NSW Dept of Education and Sydney Eisteddfods.What to wear: Loose clothing- shoes or boots with a heel.All Covid safety rules appl. This course is suitable for students who have completed a beginners class or have some prior knowledge of jewellery making.The course is set at your own pace- allowing you to work on your own designs and projects under the supervision of a tutor. Advanced techniques may be demonstrated- which could include metal inlay and granulation.Felix Gill is a graduate from Enmore Design Centre and from The Sydney College of Arts- where he studied jewellery and objects. An exhibiting contemporary jewellery practitioner- Felix will guide you through your projects- assisting with technics to achieve your outcomes.Covid-safe measuresDue to social distancing regulations we are limited to allow 4 persons max in each of our classes. Priority will be given to students already enrolled in prior to lock-downs and class allocation will then be first in- best dressed basis. Schedules and classes have changed slightly. So please take the time to look through the class options and schedules below. Please email with 2 options if there more than one day to choose from.It's important that all students wear COVID Safe face masks during classes when possible and have their own workshop apron. We ask that you remain home if you are unwell or- if in the last 14 days- you have experienced cold or flu symptoms- have returned from overseas or have been to or had contact with someone from a COVID hotspot.
