Lose yourself in the work of influential Australian Chinese artist Lindy Lee. Slow down and take in shimmering- meditative and thought-provoking works in her largest survey exhibition to date- which draws on her experience of living between two cultures.Using a spectacular array of processes which include flinging molten bronze- burning paper and allowing the rain to transform surfaces- Lee draws on her Australian and Chinese heritage to develop works that engage with the history of art- cultural authenticity- personal identity and the cosmos. Explore the thirty hectare paradise adjoining Sydney Harbour. Paul will share with you some the stories our more than 25-000 plants (more than 7-000 different species) have to tell. Bizarre stories of pollination- inspiring stories of resilience and tales of our plants connections to scientists- scientific discovery and even royalty.The tour begins at The Calyx- featuring our latest display inBLOOM. Grab a coffee and explore the display before the tour. The tour finishes at Growing Friends Plant Sales- selling rare and unique plants from our living collection propagated by our volunteers.Remember it is your special tour- so be sure to let us know any specific interests or needs.
