Saretta Fielding is an Aboriginal Artist from the Wonaruah Nation- born in Sydney- Australia. Saretta grew up the eldest of 6 siblings in a large close-knit extended family. Much of her work is influenced by family connection and reflective in style to many traditional sand engravings found throughout Wonaruah country. The highly textured pieces embody the age-old sandstone engraved artworks created by our ancestors and add a unique dimension to the works.In 2015 Saretta officially launched her art business full-time. Saretta Art and Design Pty Ltd is a multifaceted business- providing an extensive range of creative goods and services to a broad client base- including Government- Corporate- multinationals and commercially. Saretta works collaboratively- creating unique visual stories- flowing onto design application. Products include: Decor & fashion ranges. Services include fine arts- commissions- business branding & logos- interior and graphic design- event stylisation- public artwork- art consultancy and working alongside major building companies and architects for cultural artwork and community installations.In 2016 Saretta Art & Design established Malang Indigenous Corporation- a not for profit organisation- committed to seeing the Aboriginal community advance towards economic and social inclusion. Combining both Saretta's love of art and working within her community.

Founded in 2006- the group have become known for their powerful colour palettes as well as the diversity of styles- techniques and mediums. This exhibition presents their move into translating their stories in glass.Join the exhibition opening Saturday 10 October- 11am - 4pmCraft Up Late- Tuesday 13 October- 5 - 8pmThis is a COVID-safe event as part of Sydney Craft Week 2020.
