Former Australian Ambassador to China Dr Geoff Raby in a new book- China's grand strategy and Australia's future in the new global order (Melbourne University Publishing)- writes that Australia faces an ever more precarious position in the world. An apparent ending of the 'end of history' - heralded by the rise of the People's Republic of China (PRC)- the US' swing towards 'America First' and increased political fragmentation in Europe - risks eroding norms on human rights- the rule of law- free media and global institutions- posing an unprecedented challenge to the comparatively benign geopolitical environment that has underpinned Australia's prosperity in recent decades.What is the likely trajectory of Australia's relationship with the PRC? This is a fun online course that is suitable for every body. From the comfort of your home- you will be facilitated through a range of improvisation exercises designed to give your brain a work-out and build present moment awareness. You will also be guided through a combination of mindfulness practices including yoga- meditation and breathing.The idea is to give you a variety of different skills to manage stress- reduce anxiety and most importantly- have fun! Each week will have a different theme- and a variety of creative ways for you to find more ease and joy in your day to day life at home. You will be working with two facilitators- Natascha and Laura.Natascha Flowers is a qualified yoga teacher- social worker- trauma counsellor and actor. Natascha has facilitated a range of creative- movement-based and mental health groups. As a social worker and counsellor- Natascha has worked with people experiencing homelessness- refugees and asylum seekers- people with disabilities- people impacted by eating and body image concerns and survivors of child abuse and complex trauma. She teaches yoga regularly- and has completed training in teaching yoga for trauma- mental health and body image- as well as accessible- body positive yoga. Natascha offers a warm- inclusive and encouraging approach to everyone she works with. She is committed to creating a supportive and safe space in all her work.Laura Hart is a qualified mental health first aider. She has been performing for over fifteen years. She has worked creatively with not for profit organisations such as Camp Quality- The Starlight Children's Foundation- Ted Noffs and Milkcrate Theatre. Laura is a 2017 Young Social Pioneer with the Foundation for Young Australians - developing and sharing her improv comedy program for people with anxiety. Laura has trained at Improv Theatre Sydney- Impro Australia and the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York. She holds a Bachelor of Communications from Charles Sturt University with a major in Theatre and Media. Laura is particularly interested in how improvisation and mental wellbeing intersect. She sees humour as a tool to build resilience- and uses improv as a mindfulness practice. Laura is a member of the ITS faculty and ensemble- and the company's Outreach- Diversity & Inclusion Officer.This workshop is supported by the Foundation for Young Australians. He formed a crew with the Swiss Natives- ROB- Flow'etic & Mellow Moodie - called- 'The Devoted Poets' .. for Sam (Little Hunta)- his MC identity grew as he hit the stage and toured Switzerland with the group until 2010- returning back to Sydney to embark on his solo journey.Since returning to OZ a decade ago- Sam has recorded and released over 200 songs under his original stage name- Little Hunta. He formed a group in late 2011 called 'Decypher Us'-Although the world of Hip Hop enticed Sam throughout the years- he was always searching for his true calling. A lead singer for his own band! Nurtured by reggae bands such as 'Caribbean Soul' & 'The Strides'. He found his home on stage with bands a familiar place. In 2016 Sam re branded and started using his real name .. Sam Hunter.
