Camera Craft 1 course 2020
This course is designed to help you get the most out of your DSLR or Compact-System camera.Camera Craft 1 will help develop your creativity while teaching you how to use your camera in full manual mode. Learn about the fundamental creative principles of photography and how these principles relate to your camera's functions in a series of informative lectures. Each week- you'll be given a practical assignment- the results of which will be reviewed in the following class.You'll also be encouraged to discuss historical and contemporary images with your classmates- which will help develop your understanding of exposure- subject and composition.This course is for those wishing to build a solid foundation in photography or who plan to continue developing their photographic skills at ACP. Participants should expect to bring their assignments as 4x6 prints each week.This course runs at the same time on the same day- every week over 5 weeks with a maximum class size of 8 participants.Prerequisites and RequirementsThis course requires no previous experience.Bring your own DSLR or Mirrorless (MILC) camera (charged batteries and memory card). Phone photography workshop: Explore Coogee 2020
This adventure is a combination of a walking tour- self-discovery and a learning experience.OverviewThis is a fun and adventurous way to learn how to take creative photographs with your smartphone while exploring Coogee Beach east of Sydney. During this three-hour workshop- we will head out to Coogee Beach and its surrounds to photograph surf- water- rocks- architecture and anything else that inspires you! The workshop is suitable for all skill levels- all ages- and any type of smartphone. Sydney Photography Group 2020
A great opportunity to try something new with the guidance of a professional photographer- and come away with some new shots for your portfolio or album.We have a different photo theme each fortnight and the two hour sessions take place in different outdoor locations across Sydney.Each session starts with an introduction to the fortnight's theme- and our fab photography Instructor will chat about the camera settings and techniques to use. You'll then have time to take lots of photos- with the Instructor present to answer any questions. You'll receive feedback and have a chance to chat with everyone to share tips and ideas. We're a social bunch!What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Use a flexed elbow or a tissue- if you use a tissue- dispose of it immediately and appropriately.
