With the arrival of Autumn, everyone is looking forward to cooler weather and a brand new season packed with fun activities. This March, you can dine at sea with Captain Cruises, celebrate cultural diversity at Parramasala or spend some quality time with your children at an open air cinema. Regardless of your taste, there will be something for you.

Art:

Meet and buy from artists at the Other Art Fair Sydney

For the art enthusiasts, the Other Art Fair Sydney is returning for its seventh edition at The Cutaway at Barangaroo Reserve. This art fair allows art lovers to meet and purchase art pieces from over 130 independent artists. There will also be a spectacular array of installations for you to take photos of, and workshops and performances for you to participate in.

Food:

Try out some unconventional fine dining.

This March, you will have a selection of fine dining experiences to choose from. What’s great about these dining experiences is their unconventionality. You can try the traditional high tea on a cruise, with the High Tea at Sea presented by Captain Cruises. With this high tea, you can experience a Summery twist on traditional high tea delicacies alongside the grand views of the Sydney Harbour. Or, you can partake in the Earth Hour movement by having a Candlelit Dinner for Earth Hour, a dinner presented by Liverpool City Council. The emphasis of this three course dinner is the low carbon emission ingredients.

Drinks:

Try out some carefully crafted drinks

If food is not your focus for this month, then there are plenty of events and programs that will be held this month focusing on drinks, particularly drinks for adults. For example, you can try out Sydney’s only harvest grape stomping at Sydney’s Urban Winery. Here, you will be firstly taken on a tour through the working winery, before you will be given a chance to participate in creating wine. Another example of an event focusing on drinks is the South West Beer Fest, presented to you by Ambarvale Hotel. The annual festival is returning this year with thirteen different craft breweries, live entertainment and food stalls.

Kid Friendly:

Watch Frozen II with your children at an open air cinema

For parents looking for a way to spend time with their children in the midst of school season, Sunset open air cinema is going to show the iconic Frozen II movie on the big screen on Sunday, 7th March. Like all open air cinema experiences, you can hire a beanbag, lawn chair or some movie munchies to complete the relaxing, movie experience.

Cultural:

Celebrate cultural diversity with Parramasala

Parramasala is coming back to Parramatta, but this year it is not only going to celebrate cultural diversity, but also its tenth anniversary. Parramasala will be bringing back live cultural performances, food stalls and a parade. For the kids, there will be interactive workshops, free face painting and magic shows. On the evening of the 13th, a fireworks display will be conducted to celebrate the festival’s tenth anniversary.
