Catherine has developed a practice as a scent stylist- speaker- and writer on perfume and the sense of smell- speaking on everything from the history of perfume to historical scents and stinks in the works of Jane Austen and Charles Dickens.The talk will be complemented by a walk through the Garden with our expert guides exploring the natural scents of the Garden- learning how plants use scents to attract pollinators and examining famous scents in the Garden including peppermint- lemon myrtle- lavender- patchouli- and more.This is the second annual Perfume Walk following last year's sold-out event. Experimental and exploration of wax 2020
A fun exploration in using wax to create wearable and none wearable objects.Such techniques as dipping- molding- carving and even alternatives to create and assemble prior to casting in potentially both precious and non-precious metals.This class can also be classed as a projects class and is open to all skill levels.Covid-safe measuresDue to social distancing regulations we are limited to allow 4 persons max in each of our classes. Priority will be given to students already enrolled in prior to lock-downs and class allocation will then be first in- best dressed basis. Schedules and classes have changed slightly. So please take the time to look through the class options and schedules below. Please email with 2 options if there more than one day to choose from.It's important that all students wear COVID Safe face masks during classes when possible and have their own workshop apron.
