Curated by Hoor Al Qasimi, one of the most significant curators of our time, the 25th edition invites you to revisit, reconstruct, and reclaim histories that have been erased or overlooked.
Rememory explores the delicate space between remembering and forgetting, where personal, familial, and collective histories are pieced together in new forms. The artists in this edition share marginalised narratives and untold stories, encouraging audiences to reflect on how memory shapes identity, belonging, and the communities we create.
Presented across six exhibition locations Art Gallery of New South Wales, Campbelltown Arts Centre, Chau Chak Wing Museum, Lewers: Penrith Regional Gallery, Sydney Opera House and White Bay Power Station, plus events across 13 additional program locations, this Biennale expands meaningfully across Greater Sydney.
Throughout the festival, White Bay Power Station will transform into a vibrant hub for talks, workshops, art activations, music, and social gatherings. Live music, DJ sets, and roving performances will animate the cavernous industrial spaces, while food trucks, pop-up bars, and outdoor dining areas create opportunities to linger, connect, and enjoy the festival atmosphere, all amongst word-class contemporary art.
From Lights On, the opening-night celebration, to Art After Dark, Family Days, artist-led workshops, guided tours, panel discussions, and community events, there are countless ways to build your own Biennale experience.
