You're invited to help plant street trees to beautify your suburb as part of Brisbane City Council's Greener Suburbs program. Street trees make areas cooler, shadier and more attractive.Join us as part of National Reconciliation Week with a Welcome to Country, smoking ceremony, digeridoo playing, bush tucker display and other related activities including planting of culturally significant trees in the park.

Come along to meet your neighbours, plant street trees and enjoy a sausage sizzle and cold drink. Participating volunteers also receive free native plants for their own garden to further grow our urban forest. Wear sturdy cover shoes, hat and sun protection.
All new street trees are carefully chosen to suit the site and local area. Planting holes will be dug beforehand and all tools supplied. Council will maintain the trees throughout their lives.
