Visit NSW Parliament this June to discover the works of artists from the St George area as they reach out to reveal the environment and natural beauty that surrounds us.
'Art Reach: Reaching Others Through Art' is designed to make you think, feel and reflect as you gaze upon the works of 36 artists from the St George Art Society, who express themselves through mixed mediums, techniques and styles.
Inspired by the words of 19th century Impressionist Edgar Degas - 'Art is not what you see, but what you make others see' - the exhibition focuses on its connection with the audience. It also showcases the passion of its artists, for most of whom art is a way of life, where expression, thoughts, ideas and inspiration combine in an outlet that has no comparison.
See the exhibition in the Fountain Court exhibition space at NSW Parliament (6 Macquarie Street, Sydney) on weekdays, 9am-5pm, between Tuesday 31 May and Thursday 23 June 2022. Entry is via the gatehouse to the left of the building, and the Fountain Court is just beyond the main reception desks.
Can't make it in person? Take a journey through our virtual exhibition space, coming soon.
The exhibition is being hosted at Parliament by Member for Kogarah and Leader of the Opposition Chris Minns.
