The Finska Championship celebrates classic outdoor play, with a festival feel.
It's a cross between bowling and petanque and is a seriously addictive game that originated from a centuries-old Finnish skittles game.
The beauty of Finska, is that it requires no prior experience to play, is incredibly easy to learn, and yet is still a hoot for all players of all ages - from young children to nan and pop. So! This is a family-friendly event and all ages are welcome to participate but there must be two players in each team. Spectators are free with a small fee to register your teams.
The Australian Finska Championship is a licensed event, so you can choose to loosen up your game by sipping on a cold tinny, or stay sharp with a cup of coffee. There will be a pop-up bar, a DJ and the awesome Agape food truck to provide nourishment for everyone.
Lucky prize draws will also be called throughout the day for both competitors and non-competitors who've registered before the event. Planet Finska will be providing some extra good times, with a Free Play Zone, bringing Finska and their other great outdoor games for people to play just for the fun of it. They'll also have a few 'how to play' sessions and some great discount deals on a selection of their quality outdoor games which will be exclusive to this event.
And the prizes are awesome:
Winner: Australian Finska Championship trophy and a winner's cheque of $1,000.00 plus a $500 Planet Finska Voucher, 2 x AFC Merch PackRunners up: $750
