The Ballarat Virtual Winter Fest has proven so popular, with home adventures with the Yarrowees, it's been extended to 31 August 2020. You have a whole month left to enjoy all Ballarat has to offer. Head to the website and get involved and interactive with fun themed activities.
The Yarrowees - Bunni, Kurran, Welcome Wally and Betul Begonia emerge in winter to secretly care for the people of Ballarat, with each of them having a special kind of magic especially for the kids. Get the kids onto activities like Trivia games, crosswords, colouring pages and word search, and you can choose your level of trivia games from easy to hard. Don't cheat and download the crossword answers before you've given it a red hot go. It'll test your knowledge on how much you know about Ballarat. The word search games are amazing in .pdf format, as you search for landmarks, streets and winter words.
Don't forget to get stuck into the Virtual Ballarat Games. You can collect gold in the streams of the Sovereign Hill game or hunt down missing stars in the Eureka Centre mazes. Make the games full screen, discover elements of little surprises and give your brain cells a good workout. If you need a break from busting your brain, check out the videos. Explore Ballarat's wildlife park, learn to make your very own play dough and more. There's also a bunch of offers from local businesses to take advantage of.
Right now you may not be able to explore winter in Ballarat in real life, but you can look forward to the day when you can, and check out all it has to offer. Stay in touch for updates via Facebook and for now, think safe, stay safe and be safe for yourself and the whole community.
