Wake up to a view of hot air balloons floating across the city during the Canberra Balloon Spectacular @Enlighten Festival. Held over nine days, the Canberra skyline will be a flurry of colour, sound and movement. Over 25 balloons from around Australia and overseas combine to make this a spectacle to remember. The balloons launch each morning, weather permitting, from 12 -20 March and for those who have braved the dawn start there's a hot breakfast to enjoy as the balloons lift off and drift across the dawn sky.
This event is free for spectators, however, balloon flights are ticketed separately.
This event is weather dependent. Daily announcements if balloons will launch and fly are made at 6.15 am and published on enlightencanberra.com and via the Enlighten Festival and EventsACT social channels.
