Westfield Sydney has collaborated with well-known artist and member of the LGBTQIA+ community - Jeff McCann.
Jeff's art strives to create inclusive works that encourage audience involvement and fun. He specialises in community engagement projects, public art, workshops, education, collaborations, illustration, props and fashion.
Jeff has a sustainability-focused approach to his practice. He uses second-hand materials, repurposes old collateral from previous projects and considerers the afterlife of the work he makes.
The interactive installation, better known as the 'Westfield Sydney Community Garden', is live until March 6 as we celebrate Mardi Gras.
The garden features large scale flowers, representing the reflective and playful nature of a community and how we all shine together in our different ways. The installation is a community moment that involves art, collaboration, education and inclusivity.
The Westfield Sydney Community Garden is located on Pitt Street Mall near Zara.
