Join the creators of the Real Pigeons books for a special storytelling workshop.
Author Andrew McDonald and illustrator Ben Wood will reveal the secrets to using words and illustrations to tell hilarious and heartfelt stories.
During the workshop, participants will be able to ask Andrew and Ben questions about their work and experiences.
📝 Bring along paper and pencils to this session. Parents and guardians are welcome to join children and participate in this workshop.
👉Workshop for 5-8 year olds
Children will learn how to write funny stories, draw memorable characters and plot out a narrative, by writing and illustrating their own mini-book, which they can keep at the end of the workshop.
👉Workshop for 9-12 year olds
Children will learn how to create three-dimensional characters, use evocative language and tell a visual narrative, by writing and illustrating their own mini-book, which they can keep at the end of the workshop.
Zoom live workshops are supported by Gandel Philanthropy.
Pauline Gandel Children's Quarter, supported by Gandel Philanthropy, is a purpose-built space for children and families to read, learn and play, with an associated program of activities.
