Christmas has come early for beachgoers with Reese’s kicking off the festivities this weekend by giving away 20,000 delicious Reese's Peanut Butter Cups at the iconic Bondi Beach.
The confectionary brand known for being anything but ordinary will be pairing the sweet treats with a sight to marvel at, installing a four-metre-tall ‘chocolate’ shoe pouring peanut butter into a huge Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup.
When the people at Reese’s see something, they tend to think “could we put peanut butter in that?”, whether it’s a chocolate cup, a candy shell, or a high heeled shoe. So, what’s better than adding something sweet and salty to one of Australia’s most iconic traditions, the humble, and kind of weird, shoey.
Adding a tasty, and family-friendly slant to a traditional Aussie celebration, the giant footwear will represent the ultimate mix of American confection and Australian culture.
Reese’s is also inviting Aussies to create a fun ‘shoey selfie’ at the pop-up, as they take home free sweet treats. Beachgoers at Bondi will be welcomed by Reese’s ambassadors and invited to snap sweet memories from the selfie stations, with the chance to scoop up free Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups - set against the panoramic views of the world’s most famous beach.
Free Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups will be handed out at the following times (while stocks last).
- Friday 24th - 15:00 – 19:00
- Saturday 25th Nov – 11:00 – 15:00
- Sunday 26th Nov – 11:00 – 15:00
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup’s for children 12 years old and under, will only be provided if a parent or guardian is present
