This Christmas, let Carla O'Brien light up your life. Part of the free Christmas celebrations at Dockland is a series of neons by visual artist Carla O' Brien.
The fun thing is all the photos you'll be able to take - memorable snaps at these neon windows, a uniquely curated vibrant display of fun Christmas themed shapes and more, thanks to Carla's love for light art.
Carla O'Brien is a visual artist based in Melbourne. Her medium is LED neon flex, a revolutionary replacement for traditional glass neon. Hotly in demand, she creates awe-inspiring neon art installations for festivals, events, restaurants, bars, and private collections.
Her installations have featured at White Night Melbourne festival in 2015 and 2017, White Night Ballarat in 2017 and the Neon Night Garden exhibition held at QV Square in 2017. Her work that often creates object, such as angel wings, which make for photo opportunities and interactive fun.
Take photos in front of the neons of a giant neon Christmas Wishes tree, festive Christmas baubles, Santa's sleigh shooting through the neon stars or Rudolph in the wintery north pole. The kids will love it and you'll get some great family memories to keep.
This free event is on from 19 November 2020 to 31 December 2020 You will find the display at the corner of Studio Lane & Star Crescent The Square, opposite H&M / UNIQLO.
