Artists from Jean Sibelius to Lady Gaga have openly talked about their synaesthesia, the neurological condition that lies at the heart of the 'blending' of the senses. Referring to her own research, and paintings and installations by David Sequeira currently on display at the Grainger Museum, Dr Solange Glasser discusses the concept of synaesthesia and the experiences of the colour of music and the sound of colour.

Dr Solange Glasser lectures in Music Psychology at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.
