ABOUT THE EXHIBITION:
Curated by Deborah Szapiro (UTS) and Honami Yano (Nagoya University), this exhibition offers attendees a unique chance to explore the continuum of human connections, through untold and underrepresented narratives. Connected by the concept of continuum, this selection of 15 films tells us much about ourselves, often challenging long-held narratives surrounding our relationship to nature, history and each other.
continuum features recent video works from award-winning filmmakers including Kōji Yamamura and Nicholas Tory, as well as animation studio PAW Media and social enterprise Tjanpi Desert Weavers. Objects, sketches and other media that document the intricate processes of animation production will also be on display.
The exhibition will be held at The Japan Foundation, Sydney gallery from February 18 to July 2, 2022.
