This reimagining of Dario Argento's surrealist nightmare opens the three-part Cult Classics: Season of the Witch miniseries at the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA).

Directed by Luca Guadagnino (Call Me by Your Name, I Am Love) and featuring a haunting soundtrack by Thom Yorke (Radiohead), this stylish horror stars Tilda Swinton, Chloë Grace Moretz and Dakota Johnson.

Set inside a world-renowned dance company in 1970s Berlin, Suspiria follows a new American ballerina (Johnson) whose studies are overshadowed by the expulsion and subsequent murder of another student.

This screening is part of Cult Classics: a series of Friday night filmic feasts hosted by Venus Mantrap, local drag artist and culture warrior.   Cult Classics plumbs the archives to showcase cinema with bite, edgy movies and fan favourites - films that unnerve, push buttons, ask questions and just look good on the big screen!
