This showcased event has concluded.
Open to Deaf, HoH, Auslan students, friends and family.
Join guide Jo Aigus for a deaf-led tour of Peter Waples-Crowe: Pride.
Ace will be providing afternoon tea, attendees are invited to stay for tea and coffee.
An unapologetic celebration, Pride brings Aboriginal queer visibility to the fore and highlights Peter's dedication to the community.
Working across drawing, collage, sculpture and moving image, Waples-Crowe's practice is informed by over 25 years of experience as a community health worker within Aboriginal and LGBTQIA2+ health, as well as his personal experience as an adopted child, and reconnection with his Ngarigo heritage. His work is a deep commentary on the world as a contested site for his multiple identities.
