Entomologist and science communicator Dr Tim Heard reveals the beauty and diversity of Australia's native bees. He’ll discuss their social life, role in the environment and what you can do to help them.

An expert who has spent his lifetime intimately engaged with these unique creatures, Tim covers the solitary bees and the social stingless bees that can be kept in hives and produce honey.

Dr Tim Heard is an entomologist and native bee researcher. In 35 years of keeping native bees, he has rescued and bred thousands of colonies of stingless bees.
