One of Sydney's finest emerging classical ensembles comes together to reimagine the music of Argentina, Spain and Brazil.
Duo Histoire features two award-winning young musicians, Nick Russoniello and Murilo Tanouye, in a unique combination of saxophone and guitar.
Both musicians are known for their diversity of experience and depth of talent. Russoniello, the recipient of the 2011 ABC Symphony Australia Young Performer of the Year, is a sought-after chamber musician who has appeared as a soloist with the Adelaide, Queensland, Melbourne and Sydney Symphony Orchestras. Tanouye, born in Brazil, studied in the United States before moving to Australia, where he has collaborated with a variety of ensembles across the region in recent years.
For their Sydney Festival performance, the two musicians bring their signature charm to the sounds of nuevo tango, bossa nova and classic works by Enrique Granados and Isaac Albeniz.
