Explore ancient Egypt this school holidays with archaeologists and ancient historians from the Chau Chak Wing Museum as we take you on a journey through the collection of amulets, scarabs, shabti figurines and coffins.
Throughout the workshops, you'll be able to:
Handle ancient Egyptian artefacts and discover how archaeologists learn about the past
Learn about the process of mummification and help us wrap our mummified body under the watchful eyes of Anubis
Make your own scales to weigh your heart against the feather of truth
Play games including hieroglyph bingo and our giant game of Senet
Learn to write your name and other words in hieroglyphs on papyrus
These activities are perfect for children aged 6-12. Parents/guardians are required to stay with children throughout the session.
