Fermenting is one of the oldest methods of preserving food and enriches it by the action of bacteria and fungi. It is truly a living food!
Fermented foods increase the diversity of our internal ecosystem - gut flora - by introducing and feeding a wide range of beneficial organisms. Think about fermenting as packing health into a jar!
And this is exactly what you will be doing on the day - making a jar of sauerkraut to take home and watching demonstrations how to make other ferments, such as beet kvass and brined ferments.
Moss House is the brainchild of Margaret Mossakowska, who learned homesteading skills during her childhood in rural Poland. She continued to use her knowledge after moving to Australia to provide healthy, natural lifestyle for her family and to keep her grounded while working in a corporate environment.
All ingredients and tools provided but you must bring your own apron.
