Headlining the annual Food & Words writers' festival program is Sydney chef Neil Perry, who's just opened his new Sydney restaurant Margaret Double Bay and released his tenth cookbook, Everything I Love to Cook. He's in conversation with Joanna Savill.

The Sydney-centric program also includes Prof. Stephen J Simpson, who will talk about his book Eat Like the Animals and the findings of more than 30 years of research; Laura Dalrymple co-owner of the all-animal butchery Feather and Bone on her book, co-written with Grant Hilliard, Ethical Omnivore; and Alana Mann from Sydney University and FoodLab - and author of Food in a Changing Climate.

Instagram food writers Emiko Davies (online from Italy), Lucy Tweed (Every Night of The Week) and Belinda Jeffery talk food, writing and socials.

The topic of Australian Food is on the menu with input from social history writer Paul Van Reyk; chef and author of Australia The Cookbook, Ross Dobson; and co-founder of Diversity in Food Media Lee Tran Lam.
