The fourth Football Writers' Festival celebrates football (soccer), writing and ideas with top authors, journalists, administrators and opinion leaders debating and discussing the game of opinions.
The Football Writers' Festival takes place over three days, comprising a series of one-on-one interviews, panel discussions and debates, just days before kick-off in the 2023 World Cup (women) in Sydney. Also included are a Happy Hour and Hypothetical on the Saturday evening.
The international speaker line-up comprises 20 authors, journalists and special guests from 11 countries.
The Football Writers' Festival is the perfect opportunity for football enthusiasts to come together and share their passion for our game of opinions. You'll have the chance to meet and learn from some of the most talented football writers in the industry. They'll be sharing their insights, tips and tricks, and answering your burning questions about football writing.
On the eve of the first Women's World Cup involving 32 teams across two host nations, we explore issues at a time of significant change in the football world, as well as simply escape into great stories.
The Festival includes panel discussions, one-on-ones, a great debate, Book Club discussions, plus two evening sessions involving a Hypothetical and Happy Hour and a Trivia with Pizza night.
