Yirranma Place, Australia's first dedicated precinct for social purpose, will host its first community open day on Saturday 4 June, 2022, from 1pm-4pm.
Visitors are invited to explore the recently reopened historic building at 262 Liverpool St, Darlinghurst, hear the heritage organ play, experience the collection of Indigenous artwork and enjoy the café and fun family activities.
Originally built in 1927 as the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Yirranma Place includes shared spaces for community use and a public exhibition space showcasing contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art and design.
Reopening this year as the headquarters of the Paul Ramsay Foundation, the building has been reimagined as a dedicated space for people from across the social purpose sector and the community to find ways to work together to achieve positive social change by breaking cycles of disadvantage in Australia.
Entry is free. Please note that while we love our furry friends, we are unable to accommodate them at Yirranma Place due to our need to protect and preserve the heritage flooring for future generations. Thanks for understanding.
