Over five evenings from 28 August to 1 September, the UTS First Nations Film Festival aims to highlight the talent of Indigenous artists and activists, whilst portraying their fight for self-determination and sovereignty.
The Voice to Parliament is one part of the Uluru Statement from the Heart - a pathway for us to address the unfinished business of reconciliation in this country. It comes on the back of generations of Indigenous people working to have their status as the First Peoples of Australia recognised, and calls for Treaty and Truth-telling as well as a Voice to government on issues that impact them.
Films start at 5:30pm in the UTS Great Hall each evening of the week. Everyone is welcome, and tickets are free (but registration essential)!
