Now celebrating 35 years of success, Gambero Rosso's 'Top Italian Wines Roadshow' is returning to Sydney and Melbourne for one day only in May 2022. Now in its 15th year, one of the world's most anticipated and best-known Italian wine tours is heading down-under to celebrate Italian wine, showcasing 50 wineries to Australian trade, media and wine lovers alike.
Tasting tables will be presenting 200 premium Italian wines, including many that have been recognised with the Tre Bicchieri (three glass) award. There's also an exclusive program of masterclasses, led by a Gambero Rosso wine taster and judge. Explore Italy's top wine making regions, including Piedmont, Liguria, Alto Adige, Friuli, Veneto, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Lazio, Abruzzo, Campania, Puglia, Sicily and Sardinia and rediscover the tradition, culture and uniqueness of one of the worlds' greatest wine making countries.
Walk Around Tasting
Trade, media and wine lovers are invited to the walk around tasting featuring 50 iconic wineries representing Italy's wine heritage at its pinnacle. Taste 200 wines from some of Italy's greatest producers, including: Masi, Masciarelli, Livon, San Felice, Fontanafredda, Argiano, Pio Cesare, Colle Massari, Lunae Bosoni, Cusumano, Pasqua, Santa Margherita, Medici Ermete, Ruggeri, Cantina Produttori San Michele Appiano. There are many more wineries on offer, including plenty that are not currently available in Australia. This is a unique opportunity to meet the producers while enjoying award-winning Italian wine, without having to get on a plane!
Italian Wine Masterclasses
Three guided masterclasses will take participants on an intimate adventure into Italy's diverse wine producing landscape. Guests will taste 15 award-winning Italian wines in each, hosted by one of Gambero Rosso's Italian wine experts. Seating is extremely limited and tickets sell-out every year, so book now to ensure your place.
