Following several reports that the COVID-19 pandemic has been accompanied by a significant increase in anti-Chinese sentiment and anti-Asian racism, there's been a growing feeling of uneasiness among the Asian-Australian population.
What more can Australia do to better support and empower citizens of Asian descent, and visitors to this country, and how can society address what seems to be a growing undercurrent of anti-Asian sentiment in contemporary Australia?
To address these issues we've invited three of Australia's most talented, perceptive and influential writers and thinkers to reflect upon their personal experiences of growing up in Asian in Australia, the racism they've encountered throughout their personal and professional lives, and to explore the strengths and weaknesses of Australian multiculturalism.
