Free guided ride: East Village to Surry Hills (inner city loop)
Come with us as we explore Sydney's interesting inner city.
We'll head off toward the city along the separated Bourke Street cycleway (can you believe it just turned 10 years old!) through Surry Hills to Taylor Square.
From there we will head down towards Prince Alfred Park to ride along the Rainbow Path. On our way back to the start we will venture through Redfern and Alexandria mainly on separated bike paths, finishing off with a well deserved coffee at the end.
The ride starts at East Village shopping centre entrance, corner of Gadigal Avenue and Wolseley Grove. From 2pm.
Bring your own bike and helmet. Children under 16 must accompanied by an adult. Don't forget a water bottle, sunscreen, warm clothes in case it's cold, and some money for food stops along the way.
This free event is part of a month of guided rides to explore the Green Square precinct and beyond. Learn the safest and smoothest ways to get around your neighbourhood and the city using separated cycleways, shared paths and low-traffic streets. There are routes for all levels of riders, with expert ride leaders to accompany you.
