Come join us on National Eucalypt Day for a family-friendly celebration of the eucalypt - one of our national botanic treasures. Learn more about our magnificent gum species and the amazing wildlife they support.
There are talks, guided walks, workshops and activities for both kids and adults - try some gum leaf and nut art and craft; taste-test gum leaf tea and species-specific eucalypt honey; learn more about the relationship between koalas and eucalypts; check out incredible creations made with eucalypt dye; and experience a part of the Botanic Gardens you may never have seen before… we have a range of activities for all the family to enjoy!
We're putting on a shuttle bus at the Visitor Information Centre to take you up to the Australian Plant Communities, or you can follow the gum leaves along the adventure trail to get to the festival.
Allow 20-30 minutes to get to the festival site. See you there!
This event supports the Botanic Gardens' commitment to creating a plant loving community dedicated to putting the 'plant back into planet'.
