Multi awarded guitar master and composer Guy Strazz and his classic guitar-piano quartet present music where tradition and innovation come together.
His original compositions and improvisations embody jazz and Latin styles nuanced by Indian classical music, an approach extended to arrangements of classic jazz/Latin standards such as Miles Davis' All Blues, of which music writer John Shand says: 'The Indo-jazz reinterpretation of Davis's All Blues is stunningly beautiful'. The quartet will also play works by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Chick Corea, and Tom Jobim.
The quartet comprises talented and in-demand young players in pianist Casey Golden and bassist Karl Dunnicliff while Dave Goodman is a nationally acknowledged master exponent of jazz and beyond drumming.
'Guy is one of my favourite Indo-jazz guitarists' - Niranjan Jhaveri, Down Beat USA 'Amongst the most lyrical players in the land' - John Shand, Sydney Morning Herald 'Guy is an amazing player and composer' - Mike Stern
