J.J .Clark was one of the most fascinating of Australia's colonial architects and designed some of the most elegant and important public buildings in Melbourne and interstate, including the Melbourne Treasury Building and Melbourne City Baths. At the time of his death in 1915, Clark was probably Australia's most respected hospital architect, having designed the Melbourne (Queen Victoria) Hospital, among others.
Associate Professor Andrew Dodd is the Director of the Centre for Advancing Journalism at the University of Melbourne and author of the biography, JJ Clark Architect of the Australian Renaissance .
