Learn how to illustrate a fabric book with two simple stitches in this fun Sydney workshop!
In the four hour workshop, you will Illustrate the story of your choice using appliqué, glue and stitches. At the end of the class, you will leave with the start of a beautiful fabric fairytale book to continue working on at home and you will have gained a new appreciation for upcycling.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and experienced alike. For those with little or no experience, you will be using two simple stitches - straight stitch and the beautiful french knot.
These artist books can be used in classrooms, for parents with children as a springboard for storytelling. They make a wonderful gift. This is a mindful, meditative activity that creates a work of art that is lasting and worthwhile.
Materials are provided, however if you have small scissors and a sketchbook, please bring along. Paper and pencils provided. (Feel free to bring your own favourite materials.)
This workshop will be lead by Ffrances Ingram, a visual artist/illustrator living in the Inner West.
We are Covid safe. We have a Covid safe plan and are following social distancing requirements.
