In our day-to-day lives, we occasionally chance upon people with amazing, insightful and simply breathtaking stories.
My Journey by Phannarith 'Ricky' Ing
Ricky was a young boy in Phnom Penh and a student at high school when life took a sudden turn. This school is now known as the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum. Ricky tells us about his experience when the Pol Pot Government changed the world around him, of the re-education and surviving the rural work camps. This will be the first time his story is told outside the circle of his family and close friends.
Background and Context by Prof Adrian Vickers
Adrian Vickers FAHA is an Australian author, historian and professor of Southeast Asian Studies at the University of Sydney. He has a BA and PhD from the University of Sydney, is the Professor of Southeast Asian Studies (Personal Chair) and Director of the Asian Studies Program.

In our day-to-day lives, we occasionally chance upon people with amazing personal stories that are simply breathtaking. We believe insights from these stories can inspire us to understand, do more and be better.
You'll hear first-hand from speakers on their experience of significant events and from speakers who have realised a special vision. The intention is for talks to be held in an intimate setting where members have access to the speakers and participate in post-talk discussions.
No set schedules. Given that these are unique and special stories, we share the stories when we find them and when we have a willing speaker. Our role as organiser is to do justice to the speaker, the topic and the story.
