As part of our Rapid Prototyping Initiative, Cicada Innovations will be running a series of technical courses based on MIT Fab Lab principles.
The courses cover a wide range of topics including firmware development, IoT software development, mechanical design and electronics. Each of these modules will be taught by experts with experience working in highly technical, product development roles.
This module will focus on a best practice approach needed to develop an application that interfaces a user with an output device. The course will cover programming in python, web development (HTML, CSS, Javascript) and touch on embedded programming and Arduino.
Eligibility requirements
Preference will be given to applicants who are:
Currently working at a startup or scale up, especially those in a technical product development role.
Have a programming background (but do not necessarily have to be experienced in the languages being used in the course)
Sydney-based (there is no online version of this course).
Delivery
Dates: 5 consecutive Wednesday nights, between Mar 24 to April 21 inclusive.
Time: 6:00pm - 9:00pm, with a tea break at 7pm (light refreshments will be provided)
* Format: The coursework will be delivered in a workshop face-to-face format to a maximum of 10 people
Cost
A non-refundable fee of $50 to cover the cost of materials, consumables and refreshments, payable in advance.
About Dominik Fretz, course facilitator
