During the 2-hour session you'll learn basic maintenance tips to keep your bike rolling smoothly.
You'll learn how to safety check your bike, how to clean and lubricate your chain, how to fix a flat tyre and much more.
Participants must bring their own bike, plus a clean rag. If you have a bike tool kit, bring it along!
These sessions are held outdoors, so make sure you bring water and sun protection.
In the event of forecast rain, we will cancel the session - participants will be contacted via email and text.
These sessions are designed for people over 16 years old. We can also accommodate children over 12 with guardian supervision.
The sessions aim to provide a fun, low stress, experience in the form of a hands-on demonstration and tips for basic bike maintenance to encourage people to get their bike ready to ride.
Typically, the course will cover: ABCD safety check, tools needed, drivetrain maintenance, wheels and brakes, basic gear adjustment.
Due to the timeframe, it's not possible to offer more advanced maintenance tips. Your instructor will be able to provide information about where can find more advanced courses.
