This course will cover the ancient registration methods of traditional Japanese woodcuts allowing numerous blocks of varying colours to be incorporated into a single image.
Explore various image transfer methods onto the blocks and carving styles from loose expressive to fine line detail. Printing will be done both by hand using various barens and on the studio presses.
