King & Godfree will close off their milestone 150-year festivities with their very own passata-making day. It will be presented by their Executive Chef Matteo Toffano and his good friend, and long-time mentor, Guy Grossi.
Matteo and Guy require no introduction, but suffice to say, they know their way around an Italian kitchen.
From 1-3pm, you'll find the dynamic duo in the King & Godfree deli fresh bottling and teaching guests how to make the perfect passata that any nonna would be proud of.
The workshop is free for all, and the first 100 guests will receive a free bottle of Matteo & Guy's handmade passata to take home with them. After that, guests will be able to purchase a bottle for $10 a pop.
Passata (or sauce) day is an annual Italian tradition celebrated around Australia when tomatoes are in their prime. This often falls in the first couple of months of the year, but luckily for us, we've still got a few solid weeks of tomato season left.
