Climate change is a complex issue, but one that is becoming increasingly front of mind for everyone.
We all have some level of understanding of it, and here in Australia we have started to witness some disruptions that may be linked to human-induced climate change: wildfires, intense floods and storms, heatwaves etc.
Yet getting the full picture of the problem, and the interconnections between the different mechanisms and forces at play, is difficult.
In this highly interactive and engaging workshop, we invite you to discover or raise your knowledge of the science behind climate change.
Leveraging the power of collective intelligence and creativity, you will work as a team to rebuild the climate system with 42 cards, each representing an element of the system.
After building your collage, you will have an opportunity for a productive collective discussion on solutions and actions.
Getting to grips with the science will help you unlock creative solutions and communicate better with people around you about climate change.
The workshop is facilitated by experts from The Climate Collage non-profit organisation. All data from the workshop is taken from IPCC reports (5th assessment report) and are therefore scientifically grounded.
Food and drinks available on site. Including vegetarian options.
Feedback from previous participants:
'Eye opening. Engaging. Makes you want to change.'
'Everyone living on planet Earth should do this training'
'Very concrete, progressive and fun way to get a deeper understanding of this serious topic'
'Really liked the global vision of all the effects of climate change and the concrete impact it has on earth and populations.'
